Series of Assaults
Since the onset of the full-scale conflict in Ukraine, a series of Russian military commanders have been subjected to assaults within Moscow.
This new event follows other notable incidents, such as:
- General Yaroslav Moskalik was lost his life in a automobile blast in Moscow earlier this year.
- General Igor Kirillov was killed in late 2024 when a bomb placed on a scooter was set off from a distance.
While a Ukrainian source earlier linked Kirillov's death to Ukraine's security service, such allegations are never publicly admitted as a matter of official stance.
The conflict has increasingly seen shadowy operations extending into the center of the Russian capital.
The probe into General Sarvarov's death continues to be ongoing.
