Crucial US Advisory Committee to Cast Ballots on Modifying Newborn Hepatitis B Vaccine Advisory
Following a hold-up and a remarkably divisive gathering, a national immunization advisory committee was set to cast ballots on Friday on whether to change the long-held guideline that all newborns be inoculated against hepatitis B.

The first day of the meeting on Thursday was characterized by heated debate over curbing eligibility to the hepatitis B vaccine for babies and a decision to postpone the decision by a day to allow panelists additional time to examine the language.
