A total of three people have not been located after a house fire in the pre-dawn period of December 26th, police have confirmed.
Emergency crews were summoned to Brimscombe Hill in the vicinity of Stroud, Gloucestershire, at around 03:00 GMT.
Police said that one person was evacuated safely from the building and was transported to a medical facility.
"A trio of additional individuals, who were believed to have been within the house, have still missing and attempts to account for them are ongoing," a official further stated.
Investigation and Consequences
An probe to determine the source of the blaze is under way.
Part of Brimscombe Hill is blocked and motorists are being urged to stay away from the area.
Rescue crews said they stopped the fire from spreading into surrounding dwellings but the devastation to the house was extensive.
Building assessors have made sure it is secure for teams to enter and establish the root of the fire. They will stay there for the remainder of the day.
